The Forest Man's Tales / Levi Netz The holly, the sabion, the oak and their friends in the field and in the grove are an integral part of the landscape of the Land of Israel. But did you know that these plants are also the heroes of folk tales and legends from different cultures, near and far? "Stories of the Forest Man" brings together a selection of plant legends in contemporary adaptations, in a fluid and fresh language. Children and parents will meet the plants and flowers in the kingdom of imagination and will also learn about them in botanical ID cards that appear at the end of each story. Two of Israel's top children's creators are partners in this work: the writer and screenwriter Yanetz Levi ("The Adventures of David Aryeh"), winner of the Collective Libraries Award for children's books, retold the old stories in a voice full of vigor and humor. The illustrator Liora Grossman (Sleeping Angels), the recipient of the Andersen International Award for children's literature illustration, immortalized the beauty of nature with precise botanical illustrations and breathed a playful spirit into the world of fairy tales.
