Viktor Frankl (1905-1977), thinker, professor of neurology and psychiatry, Viennese Jew, father of logotherapy theory and the psychotherapeutic approach to finding meaning in life, in practice. Shortly after his release from three years in concentration camps in Nazi Germany, aged forty, he wrote Man Searching for Meaning for nine consecutive days.
