the beloved songs of the poet Miriam Yelan-Shetaklis have been accompanying generations of parents and children for many years. Over the years they have become an integral part of Israeli culture, and IWell, we continue to sing them with pleasure to this day.
We are happy to present you a Mangan and Sing book, in which we have collected especially for you ten children's songs by Shtaklis in new arrangements, and we invite you to flip through the pages, sing them together and enjoy shared moments of happiness. Miriam Yelan-Shteklis was born in 1900 in Ukraine, immigrated to Israel at the age of twenty and settled in Jerusalem. She was one of the most important and prolific children's writers and poets in the country's history. Her stories and songs were a great success, and are still loved by parents and children alike. In 1956 she won the Israel Prize for her work, thus becoming the first Israel Prize winner for children's literature.
