A hundred songs for me and you and you - for all of us. These are our songs, of the little ones and of the big ones who were little. We wanted to publish a book that would include the best known and most loved songs sung by preschool children. While searching and collecting the material, we discovered that the same songs, which all children know today, are the songs that we adults also sang in our childhood. It was a pleasant surprise to see that there is already a fairly long tradition of children's songs in Israel. The book is, therefore, also dedicated to the adults among you, who will surely enjoy remembering their childhood songs. Why a hundred songs? Maybe because a hundred is a round and beautiful number, and also because you had to decide and choose between endless beautiful and popular songs. We want to thank the children, who helped us in collecting the songs and choosing them. Special thanks to Ofer from Be'er Sheva, Eyal from Jerusalem and Tami from Tel Aviv. Thanks also to Tova the kindergarten teacher and Panina from Givatayim. Editing of the order of the poems in the book was done freely, and this so that the book would be as colorful and diverse as possible. To make it easier to find the songs, an alphabetical list of the first line of each song appears at the end of the book. The drawings in the book were drawn by cartoonist Dosh. These are his debut paintings for children of this age. But dosh is dosh, and the humor in the paintings is also aimed at adults, who will surely read and sing the songs to the children. These are not just illustrations on the side of each poem; The songs are embedded within the paintings and are part of their composition.
