Our memories are ships that travel on the waves of time and carry their precious cargo - thoughts, images, feelings, smells - very carefully from hour to hour, year to year. And despite all caution, the cargo is constantly changing and large parts of it disappear in the great ocean of oblivion. But sometimes it happens that you discover in the belly of the ship a priceless cargo that we did not even suspect existed. This book is a kind of photo album from my private collection. The pages of the album contain memories and nostalgia, fiction and thoughts, thought experiments and daily lists, psychological insights and existential questions, riddles and games and short poems, magic squares and moments of wonder, science and miracles. Similar to flipping through a photo album, reading this book also depends on the reader - you decide which page to skip and which page to linger on. Reading the book does not, of course, have to be done in a certain order. It is permissible, for example, to start reading the short story that bears the title of the book, "A particularly beautiful childhood memory", and save the tension... and then go back to the beginning.
