One of the prominent Jewish representatives during the Golden Age in Spain was Rabbi Yehuda Halevi, the great poet and beloved thinker. His songs were extremely popular, and some of them entered the Jewish liturgy. His only book is Sefer HaKozari, or 'The Book of Argument and Evidence for the Humiliated Religion', whose new Hebrew translation, the work of Prof. Michael Schwartz, is presented here to the reader. This translation is unique, the result of an extreme knowledge of the Arabic and Arab-Jewish language and culture.
