Moha O'osut Ha'Yilot', the well-known and beloved book of poems by Leah Goldberg (1911-1970), was published in 1949 with illustrations by Aryeh Navon and has since been printed in dozens of printings and countless copies. From generation to generation, wonderful lines are sung to them such as "night, night, the white is shining / in the flowers that grew in the garden" ("Hymn of the Hyacinth"); "A lamb shall return to its mother's bosom, / shall lie down in the fold and sleep" ("Evening in front of Gilead"); "All days, all days, / I dream of a magic hat" ("Magic Hat") and "The flute is simple and delicate, / and its voice is like the sound of the heart" ("The flute"). There are also lesser-known songs in the book, which is an opportunity to get to know them. All forty of his poems were chosen by Leah Goldberg herself, from many of her poems that were published in 'Dvar Lebedim' and 'Mishmar for Lebedim'. On the fiftieth anniversary of the great creator's death, a celebratory edition is brought to you, carefully designed and combining the old with the new. Four illustrators and one illustrator who grew up in the book's lap bring their interpretations of the poems they loved with line and brush, in tribute to Aryeh Navon and Leah Goldberg.
